Brief Update on Myself

So I created this blog long ago in February of 2006.  I titled it Reinventing the Wheel.  It was a very appropriate title, as I was making a lot of life changes at the time.  I did not know it at the time though, so it was sort of coincidence that I named the blog in such a way.

Now in hindsight I can fully appreciate the title, as I in essence reinvented myself. Case in point. (see picture)

I lost over 80 pounds, and put on about 15 pounds of good muscle, at least that's what I hope the 15 pounds consists of.  I run on average of 24 miles a week, and am signed up to become a certified fitness class instructor.

Six years ago, I would have never believed I was capable of any of that. I think this is one of my proudest personal accomplishments. It took a lot of will power, and was a good challenge.  In the end, I added years to my life.

So to bring everyone up to speed on the other changes.
  • Lost weight.
  • Got fit.
  • Earned my MBA
  • Changed jobs several times, and am successfully working for a national health care data company.
  • Got married to a wonderful woman.
  • Bought a house.
  • Rescued a cat and bought a dog.
That's not in any particular order, but for 6 years time I think it is a nice list of accomplishments.

So that's it for today's posting.  I hope to post some more musings about life, the universe, and everything.  Maybe if I'm lucky some friends will come and comment, but in the end I think this blog is more for me than for others.  Not to discourage anyone from posting if you do do come across it!
